JTC developed the 183ha Tuas Biomedical Park I and 129ha Tuas Biomedical Park II to prepare land for manufacturing activities in the biomedical sciences sector.

The aim is to keep the companies within a cluster, so they can enjoy economies of scale from sharing major infrastructure. It is also easier for JTC to look after their niche requirements.
