Page Content JTC is an industrial infrastructure innovator (I3) that creates value for its customers by developing the innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions that they require. JTC takes the lead in land optimisation methods, promoting cutting-edge projects and sustainable development initiatives, to develop a dynamic and future-ready industrial landscape in Singapore.
The JTC I3 Challenge is a multi-disciplinary competition that brings together selected groups of students with diverse academic backgrounds to brainstorm and experiment with new urban planning concepts and to develop fresh paradigms for our built environment.
The JTC I3 Challenge 2012 will provide students with opportunities to learn about cutting-edge industrial developments through site visits to one-north, CleanTech Park and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) to experience the process of idea generation and development. Teams will then work creatively on the various tasks, and present their innovative concepts to a panel of judges.
As part of this year’s challenge, JTC has invited the selected teams to create a new space between the NTU campus and CleanTech Park. This new space has to fulfill the aim of promoting synergies between the business community in CleanTech Park, and the academic community in NTU. Teams will be tasked to brainstorm and develop planning concepts that can be developed into full masterplans for this space.
The top 3 teams with the best concepts will walk away with attractive cash prizes:
