Singapore's aerospace industry has grown rapidly over the last decade, making Singapore the most comprehensive aerospace Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul hub in the Asia Pacific. Our sustained high growth has created strong clusters of aerospace activity, mainly in the Changi area. With Asia expected to double its fleet of aircraft by 2018, the Singapore aerospace industry is set to grow further. To support the growth of Singapore's aerospace industry, a new aerospace park is being developed at Seletar. JTC aims to develop the Seletar Aero+sPace (SAP) into a word-class aerospace park. Nestled amidst the greenery and rustic charm of the old Seletar, the 140-hectare industrial park stands out as a unique location for an aerospace park. The park will take into account Seletar's rich aviation heritage and character. It will support a new integrated aerospace industry cluster incorporating the following activities: aerospace MRO design and manufacturing of aircraft systems and components business and general aviation activities an aviation campus for the training of pilots, aviation professionals and technical personnel. The SAP is expected to contribute S$3.3 billion annually in value-add and create employment for 10, 000 people by 2018.
