Incentives Offered
To assist new entrepreneurs during the initial phase of business start-up, JTC's New Business Creation Incentive (NBCI) scheme offers:
Flatted factory space of up to 200m2 at a special rental rate:
Year 1 - 15% discount off building rent
Year 2 - 15% discount off building rent
Companies who are applying for space greater than 200m2 will get the special rental discount for the 1st 200m2 and normal building rent will apply for the remaining area.
Who can qualify?
The scheme is open to new companies who are less than 3 years old.
Qualifying Criteria
- Company must have at least 30% local equity
- Annual turnover of the company must be less than S$1million
- Business is related to industrial activities (manufacturing, assembly, servicing, research & development, software development etc.) that are compatible with flatted factory usage
- Company must not have been de-registered within the past 3 months prior to application for scheme
- Company's shareholders must not also own another company
- Company must not be applying for flatted factory space of more than 400m2
- Company must have a credible business plan
