Supporting the country’s vibrant arts scene and its drive to become Asia’s art trading hub, JTC, EDB and NAC are developing Gillman Barracks to provide growing space for art initiatives of commercial galleries, and for the creation of opportunities for art production, research and exhibitions.

Housed within Gillman Barracks will be the newly-established Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA) Singapore, envisioned to be an important platform for Asia’s fast-emerging contemporary art destination. Through its diverse exhibitions, and residency and research programmes, CCA Singapore aims to be the centre for the production, presentation and interpretation of the arts of our times, as well as a catalyst for the exchange of ideas and creative expressions.
