one-north is being developed progressively in several phases, over a period of 20 years.

The first phase of its development showcased Biopolis and Fusionopolis, both aimed at laying a sound foundation for the country’s key industries and promoting natural progression by clustering complementary industries together.  Biopolis offers world class research facilities for Biomedical Sciences while Fusionopolis supports the development of businesses in the areas of ICT, Media, Physical Sciences and Engineering.

In addition, other developments included in the one-north master plan are the Vista Xchange, envisioned to be a world-class business centre and the residential and entertainment hub of one-north; Mediapolis which will house Singapore's vibrant media ecosystem from the early stages of incubation and R&D, to content production, distribution and playout; and Wessex Estate which aims to be the centre of Singapore's creative community.

Other developments that have also sprung to life in one-north include Rochester Park, which offers superb dining and lifestyle offerings amidst well-preserved rustic charms and Nepal Hill with its conservation colonial bungalows, which will house leading investment, human resource and training communities.
