Terms and Conditions For Use of Alerts Service

Scope of Alert Service

The Free Alert Service ("the Alert Service") is provided for the convenience of User based on the current capabilities of the computer system implemented by JTC for this purpose ("the System"). JTC does not provide the Alert Service outside of or independently of the System.

System Limitations

While JTC uses reasonable efforts to maintain the working order of the System, JTC does not represent that the System will work at all times in accordance with its intended functions. Further the operation of the System and its functions may be affected by factors outside the control of JTC such as transmission failure or delay through telecommunication networks. JTC therefore cannot ensure timeliness of the Alert Service or the alerts sent to User.

Category of Interest

JTC reserves the discretion to interpret the scope of the news or information within the category of interest selected by User as pre-determined under the System and User should independently check whether such scope meets his requirements.

Reliance

In providing the Alert Service, JTC does not represent the accuracy or currency of all information or news brought to the attention of User through the Alert Service at the time of receipt by User.

User is cautioned to make his own assessment on the reliance (if any) to be placed on the Alert Service and the news or information provided through the Alert Service as JTC does not assume any responsibility for any such reliance placed by User or the consequences of such reliance.

Email Address

User is obliged to confirm the accuracy of the designated email address as notified to JTC to which alerts under the Alert Service are to be delivered. In the event of any change of such email address, User is obliged to notify JTC of such change through the System function.

JTC does not verify the existence, accuracy or currency of any email address notified to JTC by User. In the event any alerts are returned or not transmitted due to User's designated email address being inaccurate or not accessible for any reason, JTC does not re-send to User such alerts nor otherwise notify User of or follow up with User the matter in any manner.
