Event Outline:

Welcome back to the Annual Jurong Island Dragon Boat Race! This is an annual sporting and community development event organised by the Jurong Island Community Development Committee (JICDC), spearheaded by JTC Corporation. This year, the co-organisers include ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte Ltd and Singapore Oxygen Air Liquide Pte Ltd.

The Race shall be a 10 crew dragon boat with a straight course of 250-metres. There will be a total of four categories which are opened to Government Agencies & Statutory Boards and Jurong Island Companies. The categories are as follows:

Category Type

1. Open
2. Mixed
3. Women
4. Veteran

There are attractive prizes to be won for each category. Winners for the first, second and third placings of each category will win medals and cash vouchers of S$750, S$525 and S$375 respectively. In addition, the first team of each category will be presented with a champion's trophy.

Registration:

The participation fee for each team is S$321 (incl of 7% GST), and must be in crossed cheque made payable to "JTC CORPORATION". This fee covers the registration, entry fees and use of boats and related equipment during the race. Please note that the participation fee does not include the training session. Training Session (Updates):

Every participant in the team shall take part in at least one dragon boat training session prior to the Race. Training session can be arranged with the appointed Race Organiser, Singapore Dragon Boat Association (SDBA). Details on the training session can be found as attached.
