Towards a Smoother Traffic Flow at Jurong Island Checkpoint

In anticipation of the increase in traffic into Jurong Island due mainly to the various expansion and construction projects, JTC had embarked on various traffic measures leading through the Jurong Island Checkpoint. These measures aim to provide smoother traffic without compromising on security of Jurong Island and safety to the motorists. Some of the measures include :

· Introduction of Reversible Flow for inbound traffic at Jurong Pier Flyover
· Conversion of existing Checkpoint Vehicular Outbound Lanes to cater to Reversible Flow
· Conversion of part of Jurong Island Highway (immediately after the Checkpoint) to cater to Reversible Flow
· Conversion of the Departure Hall area into both Arrival and Departure
· Construction of additional bus alighting and boarding bays
· Addition of 11 security clearance turnstiles at Arrival Hall
· Relocation of the Long Term Pass Office to 20 Jurong Pier Road

JTC will be implementing the reversible flow traffic scheme with effect from 28 Oct 2008, with operational hours between 6:30am and 8:30am.

If you require any clarifications or assistance, please feel free to contact the Emergency Command Centre at 62681020. Thank you and we look forward to your continued support.
