The 9th Jurong Island Dragon Boat Race was successfully organised by the Jurong Island Community Development Commitee (JICDC) last Saturday, 26 July 2008.

This year, a total of 56 teams took part in the Dragon Boat Race. About 1500 people turned up for the event and everyone had an enjoyable time. There were activities for everyone at the event, including game stalls and a drawing competition for children, food and beverage stalls and even the Great Jurong Island Workout Session organised by Dynaforce Club. There was also a drum performance by students from Dazhong Primary School and a dance performance by Danz People, which generated much excitement at the event.
