Jurong Island

Created through the engineering feat of amalgamating seven islands south of Singapore, Jurong Island today stands poised to become Singapore’s very own global chemicals hub.

The island is home to over 94 leading petroleum, petrochemical, specialty chemical and supporting companies, who together, have made a total investment of more than S$31 billion in fixed assets on site. The who’s who on Jurong Island includes top Global Companies like Air Products, Akzo Nobel, Asahi Kasei, Celanese, Chevron Philips, Eastman Chemical, ExxonMobil, Huntsman Corp, Mitsui Chemicals, Shell, Sumitomo Chemicals, and Teijin.

Jurong Island offers a full spectrum of integrated utilities through well-respected third party service providers such as SembCorp Utilities, Vopak, Oiltanking, Rotary IMC, Katoen Natie SembCorp and Poh Tiong Choon. These companies offer services that include energy and water resources, tankage and terminalling facilities, warehousing, maintenance and repair support.

Two logistics parks, namely Banyan LogisPark and Meranti LogisPark were also created on Jurong Island to provide an equally exhaustive spectrum of integrated logistics and supply chain support for companies on the chemical island.
