H3 Zoom secures first closing of USD$1.8m in Series A funding led by JRE ventures, with participation from SGInnovate and M7 Holdings

This press release was issued by H3 Zoom, a startup based in LaunchPad @ One-North.

H3 Zoom, a Singapore-based deep tech startup specialising in AI-powered inspection and asset management for critical infrastructure, today announced a USD$1.8M (approximately SGD$2.3M) first close in its Series A funding. The round was led by JRE VENTURES – the Corporate Venture Capital of JR East (9020:TYO), with participation from SGInnovate and M7 Holdings.

The funding will enable H3 Zoom to expand its Asian footprint – prioritising Japan and Hong Kong while deepening operations in Singapore, accelerate product research and development, and strengthen engineering and go-to-market teams.

Scaling AI-driven Infrastructure Inspection

Founded in 2016, H3 Zoom combines proprietary vision language models and robotics-enabled data capture to help asset owners and operators reduce costs, improve safety, and extend the lifespan of critical infrastructure. Its technology has already been deployed across multiple high-rise buildings, transport assets, and critical infrastructure in Singapore, helping clients move from manual, labour-intensive inspections to scalable, data-driven solutions.

“This funding allows us to turn building data into actionable maintenance decisions at scale—shortening inspection cycles, reducing rectification costs, and improving public safety,” said Shaun Koo, CEO & Founder of H3 Zoom. “With JRE Ventures, SGInnovate, and M7 Holdings, we’re doubling down on high-precision AI, seamless enterprise integrations, and regional expansion.”

“H3 Zoom embodies the next generation of social infrastructure transformation through the power of AI. For the JR East Group, ensuring the safe and sustainable operation of diverse assets — including railways, stations, commercial facilities, and hotels — is a shared priority across our businesses. H3 Zoom’s technology directly contributes to addressing these challenges. Through this investment, we aim to accelerate H3 Zoom’s business expansion and proof-of-concept activities in the Japanese market, while exploring broader collaboration opportunities across Southeast Asia. We strongly believe that H3 Zoom’s data-driven approach to infrastructure management will play a vital role in building a safer and more sustainable society,” said Junichi Eto, Managing Director, JRE VENTURES.

“SGInnovate is committed to supporting Singapore-based deep tech startups as they scale beyond our shores. H3 Zoom is a strong example of how AI-powered innovations can effectively address critical global challenges in infrastructure safety, resilience and sustainability. We are excited to back their journey as they expand into new markets and continue to strengthen their technological capabilities,” said Hsien-Hui Tong, Executive Director – Investments, SGInnovate.

“Shaun’s vision to transform the entire building lifecycle to a more sustainable, efficient and safer process aligns with M7’s goal to support companies and founders that create sustainable solutions for some of the world’s most pressing problems,” said Anthony Manna, Chairman, M7 Holdings.

Case Study: Transforming Building Inspections in Singapore

H3 Zoom’s AI-powered inspection platform has already enabled faster, safer, and more consistent façade inspections across CapitaLand properties, including Raffles City Singapore, Plaza Singapura, IMM, Bukit Panjang Plaza, 31 International Business Park, Techplace I and II, Nordic European Centre and Corporation Place. Through the use of drone capture and automated defect analytics, the asset management team at CapitaLand was able to:

Reduce inspection time and shorten report turnaround time, hence minimising operations disruption to both the landlord and tenants
Lower operational and access costs as compared to traditional inspection methods
Improve safety and mitigate risk by reducing the need for prolonged work-at-height activities
Standardise reporting for the Building and Construction Authority’s Periodic Façade Inspection (BCA PFI) submissions with greater traceability
H3 Zoom’s platform underscores how AI solutions can deliver tangible efficiency gains while supporting Singapore’s broader push towards smart, sustainable infrastructure management.

Looking Ahead

With fresh capital, H3 Zoom will accelerate SaaS growth and market expansion in Japan, and Hong Kong. The company will fast track its AI roadmap – launching the AI Engineering Co-Pilot, deepening multimodal workflows (360° imagery with voice notes), and strengthening enterprise-grade APIs – while piloting robotics-assisted inspections to surface latent defects faster and more safely. H3 Zoom’s long-term ambition is to become APAC’s operating system for inspection intelligence, where partners collaborate, data compounds, and actions convert to measurable outcomes – setting a new benchmark for safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
