Sharpa and JTC Partner to Accelerate AI Robot Deployment at Punggol Digital District

This press release was issued by Sharpa.

Sharpa, the Singapore-based AI robotics pioneer, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with JTC to strengthen the AI and robotics ecosystem in the Punggol Digital District (PDD).

Sharpa builds general-purpose, autonomous, AI robots capable of human-like dexterity to assist consumers and businesses with repetitive, physically demanding, or hazardous tasks. Its flagship robot, North, made its debut at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January 2026. This strategic partnership solidifies PDD’s position as Singapore’s premier national test-bedding site for next-generation autonomous technologies.

Under the framework of this MOU, both parties will collaborate to bridge the gap between laboratory R&D and real-world commercial application. As part of the agreement, Sharpa will deploy a fleet of autonomous North robots within PDD across various use cases and establish a dedicated Innovation Lab in the district. JTC will support these initiatives by providing Sharpa with access to state-of-the-art facilities and premises, including its Open Digital Platform (ODP).

Beyond technical deployment, the partnership aims to integrate advanced robotics into the fabric of the PDD community. JTC will facilitate opportunities for Sharpa to engage with the district’s ecosystem of digital and technology companies, government agencies, and technology institutes, ensuring that the development of AI robotics remains human-centric and socially impactful.

“Establishing a presence in Punggol Digital District is a natural step for Sharpa as we scale our technology,” said David Li, Founder of Sharpa. “By leveraging the unique infrastructure of PDD, we can refine our autonomous robots in a real-world setting that mirrors the cities of the future.”
